About the print: Giant kelp (Macrocystis pyrifera) is an important kelp forest plant, providing underwater habitat for creatures like the rock lobster and abalone. It’s also one of the fastest growing marine species, growing up to 5cm in one day! Unfortunately populations have drastically declined in recent decades, with estimates of only 5% of original habitat remaining.
