Yellow-tailed black cockatoos (Zanda funerea) are found throughout SE Austalia. They are a large, mostly black cockatoo, with yellow cheek and tail panels, and yellow scalloping on the edges of many feathers. Their characteristically mournful call often draws us out of our Hobart studio to gaze at them, fluidly passing overhead in small flocks.

This is a custom-dyed and Australian-made merino fabric in a heavyweight stretch and it feels so lovely to wear!

We’ve designed in an elastic-free, high waisted top to give you a smooth silhouette, perfect for layering under dresses, skirts and even pants, or sliding under the doona on cold nights. The high waist will help keep your kidneys warm when pulled up high, or you can fold it over for a lower rise.
