Our classic high waisted merino leggings with a family of soft grey coloured ‘turbo chooks’ (native hens) on the right thigh, and a clutch of the babies on the left ankle/calf.

Tasmanian native hens (Tribonyx mortierii) are a large, flightless bird found only on our island. They have a striking, almost monkey-like call (according to me, twitchers may have a different description!) and can reach speeds of up to 50km/hr!

These leggings are made from our newest merino fabric and the heaviest weight yet at 260 GSM, custom-dyed and knit for us in Naarm/Melbourne. It has a little extra stretch and feels so lovely to wear!

We’ve designed in an elastic-free, high waisted top to give you a smooth silhouette, perfect for layering under dresses, skirts and even pants, or sliding under the doona on cold nights. The high waist will help keep your kidneys warm when pulled up high, or you can fold it over for a lower rise.
